Start of Mainnet Storage Provision for the Filecoin Network

Arctic Core AS, a 100% owned subsidiary of Lokotech Group AS, has today concluded with a design freeze on its sealing architecture for Filecoin storage providing, and will use the current architecture on the first storage server on a TRL7 basis.

Filecoin is an ecosystem for distributed storage, and Arctic Core has the last year iterated several hundred variations of hardware and software architectures for sealing storage sectors intended for Filecoin. The company believes the current architecture should be world leading on a cost-per-sector-sealed basis.

Being one of the most complicated, but also the most advanced, ecosystems for distributed storage, the company is pleased with the R&D efforts so far within this project. The projects conclusion is well timed with Filecoins latest developments, including its Solana integration and OpenAI Sora Release, and increased underlying economics of providing storage.

To verify the architecture on mainnet as opposed to testnet, Arctic Core AS will deliver Sealing-as-a-Service to another group company, Nordic Green Data Center AS and its external partner. The partner is a mid-size Canadian hardware distributor, cryptocurrency miner, and data center broker.

For Lokotech Group AS, the initiative will yield some Filecoin revenue from providing storage, some balance sheet exposure to Filecoin, and confirmation of the architecture will serve as a foundation for deciding whether to up-scale storage provision and increase the groups revenue from providing such storage, or for instance focus of Sealing-as-a-Service for third party Storage Providers.
